Ellen Schafer & Associates (ES&A) have a goal as Financial Planners to maximise your financial potential by mobilising your existing assets. We have 25 years of experience and expertise to impart to you and we do this gradually through a system of education that we have developed to help clients understand the investment process.
The following is a summary of commonly asked questions and our response to those questions. Whilst there are many questions that follow they may not necessarily encompass a question that you would like to ask.
If that’s the case please feel free to either ring us or email us.
Question 1
What type of advice do you give? We give advice on wealth creation, retirement planning, superannuation, risk analysis, portfolio monitoring, gearing, insurance protection, debt reduction, wealth preservation strategies and lifestyle goals and objectives. Whatever advice we give will be tailored around your particular needs and it will also take into consideration your risk tolerance.
Question 2
Who will be my adviser and what qualifications will they have? Your adviser will be acting as an Authorised Representative on behalf of GWM Adviser Services Limited Australian Financail Services Licensee. Our Authorised Representatives hold a Master of Applied Finance amongst their industry recognised qualifications and as owners of the business they have a vested interest in providing quality advice and a service which we believe is second to none.
Do I have to pay to see an adviser and if so how much? Your first appointment is free. After your first appointment you will be charged an advisory service fee for the financial education that we provide to all clients and for the preparation of our recommendations.
Should you decide to implement our recommendation the fees for implementation, our ongoing service fees and what those service fees provide will be outlined in detail in your plan.
Please feel relaxed in the knowledge that all fees we intend to charge you will be made patently clear to you before they are incurred.
Question 4
Is it alright if my partner does not attend our meetings as he or she is not interested in investment? ES&A have a policy that both partners must attend all meetings.
Question 5
What sort of on going service do you provide and what does it cost? Before you become a client you will be given a comprehensive Service Agreement which will outline all our on going fees as well as the services we provide.
We do not have a ‘set’ ongoing fee. Ongoing fees will depend on the level of service we believe you will require. They may be paid to us by way of a trailing commission from your investments or paid directly by you or a combination of both.
